Jill Marshall came to Alaska in 1975 for a 3-month stay that never ended. She lives in Fairbanks where her design studio, Marshall Arts, is located. Her artwork blends her love of Alaska with her love of the wildness of the people and places. You can see these themes woven throughout her paintings. Jill works primarily in watercolor. She says “I love how the water is like having an additional artist working on the painting, there are many things that happen that the water decides will happen and you just have to go along!”
