My love for wildlife and nature began in my youth as I followed my mother on backpacks, over passes, up mountains, swimming in remote lakes, and searching forests for hidden ferns. I moved to Alaska in 1983 in a bid to leave big city life and live closer to nature. My photography began with a Pentax Spotmatic and progressed to professional gear as my skill and obsession grew. I love the sound of a camera’s shutter release, and photography is a great excuse to spend time in nature. I am grateful for the opportunity to share with others the beauty and adventures I am blessed to experience.
