Description
Denali Pastel
Denali National Park, Alaska
At sunrise and sunset on a clear day, the warm, pastel colors of the far north decorate Denali, the highest peak in North America at 20,310 ft. (6,190 m). The south side of the Alaska Range has long inspired painters, photographers, and travelers. Stunning views of Denali can be found at several viewpoints along the George Parks Highway or among the many trails and hillside ridges that offer views to the north. Clear views of the summit are more commonly seen during early morning or late evening hours when temperatures decline and clouds dissipate.
