Aurora Dora,
Talkeetna, Alaska.
My passion for photography started when my mother gifted me my first camera, a Rolleiflex, when I was six years old. My photography style and technique go back to the film camera era and single exposures. I relocated from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Alaska in 2001. I fell in love with Alaska and was inspired by the Alaskan dark winters. I have been photographing the Night Sky and the Northern Lights ever since. I cannot see myself inside the house when the Auroras are dancing across the Alaskan skies. I need to photograph them! In 2013 I opened Aurora Dora Gallery in downtown Talkeetna, where I showcase my Aurora images and teach photography workshops.
