Jody Overstreet,
Anchorage, Alaska.
I consider myself an Alaska-grown nature lover and visual and literary storyteller. I’ve spent most of my life outdoors, inspired by the natural world’s moods and forms. I see nature as the supreme artist with whom I strive to co-create. I aim to spend time in place, observing light, lines, and energy and portraying this in a moving image. Though intentions don’t always align with reality, the creative process is often full of happy surprises. My teenage interest in photography eventually blossomed into a full-time career, including guiding and photography instruction.
