Jon Van Zyle is a renowned and loved Alaskan acrylic painter, depicting subjects of living in wild Alaska. Having competed in the Iditarod in 1976 and 1979, he was named the Official Iditarod Artist in 1979. His paintings celebrate a rugged life in the wilds of Alaska, dramatic scenes, wildlife, and the dog mushing lifestyle.
