Grizzly bears (Ursus arctos) are powerful animals and formidable predators holding the top position in the food chain for terrestrial Alaska mammals. Grizzly bears are true omnivores, but contrary to what many believe, they are primarily vegetarian in their dietary consumption. Denali National Park is home to a large population of grizzly bears that roam freely in the vast wilderness. It is in this park that many visitors to Alaska see their first grizzly in the wild. While the park is a vast and wild region, bears can’t resist the temptation to occasionally scratch and chew on man made signs.

Printed in Alaska on paper that meets the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) guidelines.
