Southeast, Alaska
A pod of orca transit Lynn Canal of the Inside Passage with Eagle Glacier in the background. Orcas in Alaska’s Inside Passage are predominantly resident orcas, meaning they have smaller, more predictable home ranges and stay in the area year-round. Their primary food source is fish. While they are visible year-round, they are most frequently seen May through September.
