Description
Wonder Lake
Denali National Park
Most people visit Denali National Park in the summer when cold and snow temporarily give way to a short, warm summer. In fact, spring, summer and fall are compressed into about four months. Primary access is via bus on a 91-mile, often one-lane, unpaved road into the heart of the park to Wonder Lake and Kantishna. This spectacular park is home to more than 155 species of birds, 37 species of mammals and about 650 species of flowering plants.
