Fairbanks

2026 marks my 50th year in Alaska. I’ve been able to make a living with a camera for more than half that time. I was Chief Photographer at UAF for 14 years and learned how to make pretty pictures under a wide variety of conditions and challenges. I’ve been free-lancing in Fairbanks since retiring in 2016 shooting a variety of community events and individuals. I have a long-standing love and constant focus for nature photography, particularly birds. My wife and I both love to travel and I always carry (too much) camera gear everywhere we go. I’m basically out there everyday trying to make pretty pictures.
