Barbara Lavallee is a much-loved Alaskan artist known as a painter of happy subjects. Her art reveals her interest in people, how they live, and what they do. Through exposure to native Alaska culture, she developed a distinctive style that celebrates the joy, resilience, and hard work that characterizes native life. She paints in transparent watercolor, playing hot colors against a white background.

The cards are printed in Alaska on matte paper that meets the Sustainable Forest Initiative guidelines that promote responsible management of the world’s forest.
